Recently one of the staff members at our church put up a picture of the last supper. This is the picture with women and children present; I am sure many of you are familiar with it. It seems to me that I read an article about how this picture is inaccurate (perhaps in This Rock?) but I have been searching the website and the internet to no avail to find information on the Churches teaching about the picture and how we know it to be inaccurate. Any help would be appreciated. If all this is on the website I appologize (no pun intended), I am new to the site and forum.

Peace

I can’t find any official teaching that there wasn’t, I can’t find anything in scripture that says there were elephants or camels either… last year a parishoner painted a beautiful portrait of the last supper (in florintine style) and the pastor was so impressed with it’s beauty that it has been placed above the alter in the church… in that picture are 2 dogs and a cat… i really don’t have as much problem with the animals as i do the EAR RING in St Peters ear…

was a beautiful painting… i got to admit 👍

i was trying to remember which ear the ring was in because my wife just asked which ear and that which ear mattered… i asked her what it mattered as to which ear… you don’t want to know her response… i think i’m gonna be sick…
