When you hear the phrase “Word of God” what first comes to mind, a Person or a book?

Jesus the Word of God made flesh, for in the begining was the Word, and the Word was God, and the Word became flesh: When ever I am worshiping with the saints and angels in heaven at every Mass, I see the Word of God, in action and the revelation of the power of the Word of God, then what gets revealed is the Word of God becomes present before all believers in the body, blood soul and divinity, this is so awesome to comtemplate and meditate while offering the sacrificial praise, and the Todah sacrifice of Jesus Christ on my behalf. Sorry I am getting carried away here. A Person Jesus, and the awesome power of the Word.

Peace be with you

Yes, to a Catholic “the Word of God” is Jesus as the bible tells us (see John 1:1-4).

Paul

The Bible is Word of God. One name of the many names of Jesus is the Word, but in the new testament, “Word of God” is used in places where it is obviously not talking about Jesus.

I think Jesus is more correct since the book describes Jesus in John 1 as the Word made flesh.
