In grammar school it was often a task given to us to place a number of words in order of opinionated importance, usually from one to ten, one being most important. Then we were to discuss why….but the room would get so noisy….the teacher would have to slam the stapler on the desk to get it quiet again!

In what order would you place these words in regards to opinionated importance? Ready, set, go……feel free to get noisy if you wish.

Prayer
Sacrifices (as in giving up things, not slain sacrifices)
Scripture
Souls
Relics
Catechesis
Family
Saints
Silence
Mass

It’s a tough choice and I keep changing my mind!

But here’s my list of this moment’s mind frame.

Prayer - because we need the Lord’s guidance in all things
Family - because God has given us each other to love and take care of
Scripture - We come to know God better & he can speak to us directly through His word
Mass - We receive Christ and have fellowship with others.
Catechesis - because we need to understand what and why we believe
Souls - God’s highest concern is for Souls-we should pray & reach out for them daily
Sacrifice - The giving of ourselves to others
Silence - to contemplate God and bring peace to our own lives
Saints - they can be our example to bring us closer to God and to help us & pray for us
Relics - interesting, but nowhere near the top–maybe not even on the list.

Autumn Smoke: You did an excellent job A ++

The next step was to match your first with your last, your second with the second to last, etc., to see how well the two words correlate together. I think yours match up perfectly.

Relics and Prayer definitely coincide with one another…as witnessing relics of Saints leads us to prayer for their intercession!

Grammar school was fun.
