I’m going through a nasty ordeal at church, so last Monday I asked St. Joseph to take me under his wing and exercise his fatherly charisms in my life, especially provision and protection. I didn’t ask for a sign or anything in particular at all, but he immediately got me a car. By immediately, I mean it was parked in my garage on Friday night. The car:
Seriously, what more Dad thing is there than to find your daughter a vehicle?? And completely out of the blue like that. I am blown away.
I would like to offer a Mass in thanksgiving for this saint’s amazing intercession. So I have two questions:
- was just over half of what we were planning to spend
- materialized eight months earlier than we were planning to purchase, so my current car can sell for more
- is in wonderful condition
- has power-everything; my current car has manual windows and locks
- is my favorite color - blue - and when I saw it in person I learned it even has pinstripes!
- (a used car that isn’t silver - do you know how RARE that is??)
- a problem with the physical hatchback lock meant the cheapest fix is to buy a remote fob (I get to have a remote!). We expected to spend around $175 for the fob, but found a generic one for $15

- Do we receive favors from or through a saint?
- How should I word this intention? Is “In thanksgiving for favors received from/through St. Joseph” appropriate?
