Do you ever get kind of a theme playing over in your mind that strikes a chord and gives you much to ponder on?
Often I do,and they usually last about a week…something that can be really incoprperated into my life.Sometimes of bigger significance than I realise in the beginning. It could be say for example, the word
sincerity .It’s there at the back of my mind, quietly asking for some attention ,and when I do its of great value. It is turned this way and that and looked closely at.
I was just thinking about this as the words "if today you hear His voice, harden not your hearts"has been there quietly repeating at the back of my mind. I love that particular psalm 🙂

When I am in doubting mode , and God and all else don’t seem to make sense , the word “Source” often comes to the rescue .

“Source” is a short , simple word but for me it helps to make sense of what I am doubting .

God is Source of all .

Then it surprises me how often the word crops up in the Liturgy , referring to God .

Two other words also come to the rescue …“Link” and “Encounter” .

I think I could use “Source” , “link” and “encounter” to sum up my beliefs .

The Source has provided us with links by which we may encounter the Source .

The Source has chosen Revelation so that we can have a link to that Source and encounter that Reality .

Climactically the ultimate link is Jesus the Son , and in ways chosen by Jesus we are able to encounter Jesus , and through this encounter we come to know the Source who is Father .

I don’t know if any of this makes sense .

The meanderings of an old man ? 🙃

But those three words so often help me , just as the word “sincerity” can be of great value to you , Greenfields .
