Just a suggestion… Try looking for a janitorial job. You still won’t get full time, but it generally pays better than retail, and they are always looking for *reliable *people. If you show up every time you’re scheduled to work, and do a good job, you’ll get better and better jobs.
Another nice thing is they pay by the job - that is, the manager decides the job should take, say, 3 hours, and you get paid for three hours no longer how long it takes you. If you’re good, it’ll take you half the time. And if you’re slow but good, you won’t get fired for it. and if you’re sick or hurt, you can creep around until the job is done, and still get your 3 hours pay.
Plus, working nights leaves your days free for looking for that law enforcement job!
