So, I’m an entrepreneur trying to start a business. I REALLY enjoy doing this. Am I allowed to work on Sunday (i.e. tomorrow)?

You need to discuss this with your priest. It is not a matter of whether or not we like our work, it is a matter of putting all things in their proper order and honoring God and his commands above other things.

Right on. Hopefully the priest understands this.

grafs50,
Just read the commandment in Exodus 20, “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy."

By this command, as with all of them, God intends our blessing. Mark 2:27, “Jesus said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.” Therefore you ought to diligently seek the blessing afforded to God’s people on that holy day!

Consider the duty involved and the blessings promised in Isaiah 58:
“If you turn back your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on my holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight and the holy day of the Lord honorable; if you honor it, not going your own ways, or seeking your own pleasure, or talking idly; then you shall take delight in the Lord, and I will make you ride on the heights of the earth; I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

If you want God’s best in your life then, by all means, make the most of that sacred day!
