I just started a new job, where I have to make calls to people to make appointments with them so that I can sell merchandise. I get paid only when I make appointments. I have made it clear to my manager that I do not intend on working on Sundays, since that is the day of rest (thankfully he said that was okay).
The problem I have is this: I have to make daily calls into the office, and make calls with people to make appointments so I could meet with them. Is making calls to my manager and to my customers considered “work,” since I am not technically getting paid for this?
Thank you
