Biggest Bible on display at the Chennai Book Fair, India.

Chennai (AsiaNews) – What weighs seven kilos (15 pounds), has 3,500 pages and is written in Tamil? The world’s biggest Bible does and it is currently on display at the International Christian Book Fair which is being held from August 9 to the 16 in the city of Chennai, in the south-eastern state of Tamil Nadu. Up to now, the biggest Bible was an edition published in the USA in 1884; it, too, is on display at the Chennai Book Fair.

You know, no offense, but that is kinda weak. They can make apple pies the size of football fields, but they can’t make a Bible larger than the size and weight of my kitchen sink. So sad.

I say that the Vatican orders the desruction of entire forests so that the Catholic Church make paper from it and have the recognition of possessing the world’s largest and unabridged (the Protestants cheat by keeping the deuterocanonical books out) Bible 😃

An “Authorized” and ‘complete’ version should weigh in at least at 16.3 pounds! I bet they deleted 1.3 pounds of Scripture? Which version is this book?

The Large Font edition of the Tamil New World Translation, more than likely 😃

I’d kinda like to see the world’s largest communion wafer (unconsecrated of course lest I risk sacrilege).

Or how about the largest confessional?

Maybe Benedict’s cats can play with the world’s largest ball of twine.

Am I the only one who see this as a water cooler thread?

Why not build the world’s largest tabernacle! Then you wouldn’t have to worry about that 🙂
