Worried about returning to confession

This is my last step in totally returning to church. It has been a few years for me and I know I want to go to confession. I have gotten in line and then run out of time during a retreat. I know that things have changed and I don’t know if I remember enough to even attempt it. Advice? Help! Thanks.
