I have been a Catholic for 26 years (since birth) and although I have fallen away for a period, I have always kept up with the goings on at my home Parish. This parish was approved of by my mother who was very devout and orthodox and so I do not believe there have been abuses there. But they do not offer TLM and this makes me wonder. Why are there those who believe the TLM is the only valid Mass? Are those who have received Sacraments in the “New Mass” at some kind of disadvantage? If the TLM is so much more important then why have I been unable to locate one?
I have already posted these kinds of questions elsewhere but I think they have been missed. This is really starting to worry me. I have only ever attended NO Mass, even one offered by the Pope as a baby. I have been to Masses at Lourdes and throughout Catholic France, Spain and Portugal. I have NEVER been to the Tridentine Mass nor seen one available. Does this matter? Am I less of a Catholic? What if I ought to be going to a TLM but have been unable to locate one?
