Hello and God bless you are. I’m going through a lot of changes in my life, and I’m currently taking RCIA. God has been so gracious and loving to me, providing me with an abundance of peace and stillness that I don’t deserve.

As I study, I end up having questions, comments, and a desire to connect with others that also want to discuss theology. Would anyone here be willing to help me when I have questions and teach me more about the Catholic Faith? I want and need to know as much as I can. Thank you

I am 24, and no that’s not my real name, it’s my FFXIV character’s name

When we click on your avatar, we are seeing what appears to be your real name. It’s recommended that you modify your information so it isn’t in there!

Oops my bad >.< thanks. I removed it.

What do you want to know?

I think you should probably lean more heavily on a priest in real life, or whoever is teaching you RCIA. This can be a good resource too, but just remember we’re all just anonymous people from the internet.

Just to be clear, I’m not discouraging you from coming here with questions. That’s like the whole point. There are lots of people who would like to help. But if you’re still learning about the faith, you may not be able to separate what is actual catholic teaching from what is just some random posters personal spin on things. You just have to really vet your sources.

I agree, you need to find someone in real life to mentor you, not internet strangers.( As nice as we may be.😉)

Speak to your priest or RCIA leader about help finding someone.

You should join our bible study! I would love to have you there and you could learn the scriptures with your fellow Catholic Brothers and Sisters. (I am a former convert to Catholicism and while I have not posted on here much I often visit this site, but since the Coronavirus has forced all our bible studies online I am starting to reach out to others who would like to learn about the Scripture in a Catholic setting).

Here is my website we are using, the Gospel of Mark is a Study I am creating as we go (we are now on Lesson (Day) 33 in one study and Lesson (Day) 6 in another. If you want to join us in a live Zoom Bible Study let me know and I can send you the link to login (you can pm me). You can look over the study to see if it interest you (I guarantee you will learn more about Catholicism and the Scriptures by participating). You could also just use it for yourself and another if you wanted to have your own small study, the Lessons for Mark are Downloadable or you can just read them from the site. Also its free.

Many of our participants have been Catholic their whole life, on the other hand I have only been Catholic for a little over 12 years, but I love learning more and more everyday about our faith.
