Would it be right to abstain from attending Mass if ritually impure?

Would it be right to abstain from going to church or receiving the Eucharist if ritually impure?

For example after having a nocturnal emmission the previous night (and washing obviously) would it be right to go to church the following morning, i ask this because the Old Testament states that the person would be unclean untill evening
 
HI.

We are not bound by the prescriptions of the Old Law. This is why Christians can eat pork. Nocturnal emissions are totally involuntary and not sinful. They in no way make one impure.
