Would it be wrong for a Catholic to wear a T-shirt that is against Gay-bashing

How far is too far in supporting Gays. I know that as Catholics we are not to commit hate crimes against them or discriminate them in certain ways, but how far is too far.

It’s my understanding that we are supposed to “love them as we love ourselves”. It’s easy to say. What does love look like toward Gays in ACTION? This I am not clear on.

That’s why I’d wear it, no doubt.

Stand up for the victims and not the bullies.

Personally I wouldn’t do it, but then, I am also quite homophobic. To be honest, I haver never liked any of the homosexuals I have encountered- and often found them to be bullies, given to material luxury, and malicious (especially those among the clergy).

Well, I congratulate you on considering the issue deeply, and am confident you will decide the best thing. Follow your conscience.

I have 2 friends who are homosxuals, I met them through my wife, and they are the most friendly of all her friends, or just about. One picked me up from the hospital one time. They just do a lot of good deeds that her family does (my family is disfunctiona and doesn’t do a lot of good deeds that ‘family’ does). I also knew a homosexual I used to be friends with that was clocked over the head with a rock, robbed, and raped. ’

So, again, I would like to thank you for being open minded and honest that you are homophobic (rather than being homophobic, having it come across in your posts, and denying it). Thank you for that Sir.
