My wife and myself were on a pilgrimage from the U.S. to the Mexico City area last week, but it spent only several hours at Guadalupe (an hour of which was at mass). Better to spend several days there in prayer and walking around seeing the churches and other places there. I wonder if anyone has information that would help us go there for several days in December by oursleves? I wonder, does anyone know of a hotel in walking distance? a good guide that could show us around in detail in English? or a book that has detailed information on the buildings etc of the Guadalupe shrine? Or perhaps other information that could help us when we go ourselves? Anything helpful for someone going there would be appreciated.
