A month ago after hearing a Catholic speaker speak and signing a piece of paper saying that I would read a chapter of the Book of Proverbs a day, I have made it my mission (at least for now) to read a chapter of The Bible, give 100 grains to Freerice.com, and go on Catholic Answers Forums. Today, being Sunday, I told myself I would definitely try to do it before dinner. I did The Bible reading and FreeRice, and I clicked on Catholic Answers, but that’s about it because my dad made me get off to go to my cousin’s graduation party. It should be noted that I convinced him to go to the party, so I am the main reason I had to leave. I had dinner at the party. I am on here right now later at night, but after I ate dinner. Did I sin in anyway here because I told God that I would do something barring something extreme happening and then, highly because of me, did not complete it fully before dinner?
Also, is it a sin to not fulfill something like this when a parent tells you to do something different (like homework)?
