I am interested in music and what kind of music is popular in different parts of the world. I know many songs on the the top-40 charts are raunchy and aren’t good music, but I am curious to know what is on the top-40 charts in other countries. On radio-locator.com one can browse radio stations by country. Would it be wrong for me find a top-40 radio station from another country and listen to it on the internet to hear what kind of music they play?

Why would it be wrong?
I listen to Austrian radio and German Radio stations all the time…nothing wrong with it at all.
Also if you want to see the top 40 songs in other countries and dont want to listen to the songs why not look at the (printed) lists instead?!?!

I thought it might be wrong because I could be giving business to a station that plays horrible music with lyrics that give bad messages to children. Doesn’t that sound wrong?

Are you $$ to listen to the music?
Most radio stations have “free websites” where you can listen to the station
If you are worried about it why not just “read” the top 40 lists than? Plus not all music (top 40) is horrible corrupting our kids…but then I have not listened to top 40 since the 80’s:D

I’m not paying to listen to it. I would look at top-40 lists, but what good is it just to know the names of the songs. It’s more interesting to hear them.

But I don’t know if it’s good to support stations that might play songs that send everyone bad messages. Could anyone give me an answer rooted in Catholic apologetics?
