Would this song be okay at a Catholic wedding?

Just to avoid confusion…there are 2 different servant songs.

One that starts: Will you let me be your servant let me be as Christ to you…

the other “what do you want of me Lord,”
chorus is " Jesus Jesus you are the way"

We never got the CD package. Our wedding was a bit off the paved road so to say. 😃 So I believe what you are saying.

My sister is in the choir and we know the director, so probably he was being frank to us. I have to admit that I don’t regret a thing. The man is a genius when it comes to coordinating music. I think most of the people were crying for most of the time haha.

I remember when we met with him, I had all these songs picked out such as “On Eagle’s Wings” and “I am here, Lord.” I just recall the look on his face. lol. He was like, “What exactly are we planning again?” 😛

P.s. Good luck with the wedding! It is a beautiful church. I felt that we got a good, solid Catholic feel by having our wedding there. Some of the other parishes remind me of Protestant/Baptist churches, you know? Everything about that Cathedral gives me a childhood feeling of Catholicism. 🙂
 
Whenever couples ask about songs that are secular to be sung at their wedding in church…I say that’s fine…but you have to promise me that you use the song…
Holy God we praise thy name for the first dance.

They get the idea.
