If you realized you had put the wrong date in the prayewr intention book at church? I put yesterday’s date instead of today’s. I was really wavering, should I go back and correct it, even though I was already quite a way off and would have had to take another streetcar back and missed my train.
I resisted, I thought it may be overly scrupulous again. But in a way it’s like lying to everybody who has a look at the book, that was the reason I wavered. But then again, it is notheing that really matters to those who may see it… Would you have gone back?

Kathrin, do not worry about this, don’t give it a second thought. It is a simple human error. 🙂

I know it was not a lie when I wrote it because it was a simple error, but the moment I realized I was wrong (because I saw the right date somewhere else on one of those boards in town) should I have returned to the church and corrected it?

You know what I did though.😊 I called the monastery nearby and left a message, told them to call me if they think I have to correct it… or they could do it if they wanted to.😊

Does the date that you write in the prayer intention book have any effect on anything? My guess is that it does not. In that case, your unintentional error does not need to be corrected. You were right not to go back. Maybe next time you can do without calling, too. You’re making progress, Kathrin!

I kind of regret calling now too…😊
Thank you for saying I’m making progress. I am VERY happy I resisted going back.🙂

I also had a very good confession today with the same confessor as last time.:):)🙂
