Wow! Abstinance is working

It is almost comical to see the pro-condom people squirming and reaching for support. But they fail dismally to disparage Uganda’s drop from 30% of the population infected in the '80s to 6% infected today, since initiating an abstinance program.

Of course, the media uses terms like “shunning sex” to describe what a person does while waiting until marriage.

What does Barabara Lee’s (U.S. Congresswomen) statement “do not have the choice to abstain” refer to? Later in the article, it refers to “sex workers” in Thailand. Are Barbara Lee’s constituents to infer that she supports prostituion as a legitimate industry? Otherwise, she surely would have alternative solutions to allowing women be used, instead of promoting a solution that specifically continues this unfortunate practice. And she’s a women for crying outloud!

little did i know then how much truth was in that statement… if we would but do what God ask, and save sex for the marriage bed, think of all the unwanted babies not killed for the convenience of others and you would have never heard of STD’s…

There is a belief in Africa that an infected male can be cured of HIV if he has intercourse with a virgin. For that reason, many woman and young girls are raped. That may be what Barbara Lee is refering to. However, I don’t see how promoting condom use will solve the epidimic. I doubt a rapist would be concerned with condom use.
