I am so bursting with happiness right now! I just have to tell everyone! :bounce:

My younger cousin, he’s about 16 now, has never been much into religion. He said things like he hates church and its boring etc… He hadn’t received confirmation yet, or even gone through the classes, he didn’t even know if he wanted to be Catholic he said. Thankfully, his mom and dad never forced him to go through confirmation, they said it had to be something he wanted. That would have just forced him further away.

I’ve been saying a rosary everyday for him for about two years, just praying God could reach him. To be honest, it seemed like a long shot.

Well, just now, he called me and said he’s decided he does want to be confirmed, and he wants me to sponsor him! :extrahappy: :heaven:

I don’t know what changed, I sent him some books a few months ago about Catholicism, but I really didn’t expect him to read them. (he’s not a reader) Maybe something in them sparked something in him, I don’t know, but I just know all those rosaries had something to do with it. I have tears of joy in my eyes right now seeing how far he’s come. He doesn’t do anything unless he wants to, and is fiercely independent, so I know this isn’t something he’s just doing for other people. This is for real!

Thank you Jesus! Thank you Mary! Thank you St. Joseph! Ohh I was starting to give up, but God is good! He has plans for this boy, I know it.

Stay with him oh Lord, please keep him strong. :signofcross:

He’s blessed with just a great sponsor 🙂 May the Lord be with you both and give you strength for the journey.

It’s funny. Even though I know intellectually that prayer works, whenever a prayer of mine is finally answered, I’m so surprised. 🙂 I don’t know why…God’s never let me down before. I just seem to forget He’s got it all under control…and then He reminds me. 👍

I’m glad to hear your family was reunited! :extrahappy: That’s so awesome!
