Writings on Communion?

Hi everyone,
I have recently been thinking about the idea of Communion, and would like to find as many good books and writings on the subject as possible.
I have been praying and trying to figure out what it is exactly that I want, what is driving me, what my goal is etc, and recently came upon the idea of Communion. And Communion seems to be the main principle by which I am trying to live. With all the words, ideas, works, acts of charity, etc. ultimately the goal we are striving for is Communion with God. We want to be with each other with God in Heaven. Whatever the details, etc. the goal is Communion.
When I think of that, it makes all the sacraments, all the gifts, all the fruits, etc so much more wonderful and beautiful, especially the Eucharist.
The Eucharist is just so beautiful when you think of it as Communion with God. Jesus enters us as our food, and becomes part of our Physical bodies, making each of us part of His Body. Christ’s body being one, each of us made part of Christ are in Communion as part of His Real Body. It is not just beautiful, it is brilliant. Sometimes when I think about these things I just say to God “You are such a Genius!” God is just so wonderful an Artist, a Composer, a magnificent Creator!
But if you have any reading suggestions on the subject of Communion, please post them here. And as always, please pray that I can better understand and evangelize others that they may understand and desire Communion with God.

The chief element of Original Sin is separation from God according to Church teachings. This rift was accomplished by Adam; his sin basically denied God as his God, and for all his descendants as a result. Communion with God is the right order of things for man; it constitutes our justice, fully realized as we come to love Him with our whole heart, soul, mind, and strength.

Jesus came to reverse Adam’s sin, so to speak, and thereby reconcile man with God as He reveals the true face of the Father so that we may know Him, and might turn and run back to God like Prodigals who’ve been awakened to their sad and lost condition without Him. Then we’re to remain in Him and He in us -or we have no life in us, no life worth living.

“Lamb’s Supper” by Scott Hahn

Some of them aren’t communion-specific, but because the Eucharist is the “source and summit” it ripples outward into all aspects of life. I’d also recommend the sections in the CCC that cover it as well as writings from the Early Church Fathers.

Just an interesting point I’ll add that I picked up somewhere (I think from Scott Hahn or maybe Edward Sri). Bethlehem translates to “house of bread”. Christ is laid in a manger, and if you’re familiar with foreign languages manger means “to eat”. Some might find that silly but I think its kind of neat!
