I have been praying for a dear friend of mine who is awaiting healing. She is losing hope and faith as it is unclear if she will be healed. I have been writing down my prayers for her, and there are quite a number of pages. I feel very drawn to show these pages to her, to share with her that the Spirit is leading me to pray this much, and people love her and are helping in the ways they can. I cannot heal her, but I can pray earnestly. She may not be healed; we all know this. The Lord may have a different plan, and my prayers reflect this reality. I know that prayer is not supposed to be a performance or “show-offy”, and am wondering if sending my written prayers to her crosses into that territory. Is this acceptable and in accordance with Church teachings, or is telling her she is in my prayers sufficient? I recently began RCIA and my conscious is still being formed and would appreciate any responses.
