Wrong Mass readings... Obligation fulfilled?

Short and sweet:
I attended an anticipatory Mass yesterday evening in a small, somewhat remote chapel, and the priest accidentally brought last Sunday’s missal with him, so we heard last week’s readings.

Have I fulfilled my Sunday obligation for today, even though it was last Sundays readings? Does the Church say anything specific about this?

Thanks!

The priest or lector making a mistake in the readings does not invalidate the Mass.

I rarely hear a priest make a mistake (or if so he usually catches himself a couple lines in, and reads the right Gospel) but I have heard the lectors read the wrong first reading more than once. Other than possibly embarrassing the lector, it doesn’t have any effect.

Your obligation is to attend Mass either on the day itself or the evening before. There’s nothing specified about what readings you have to hear.

Okay, thanks everyone! This is more or less what I had figured, but I just needed confirmation from those who know more about this.

See, it’s raining where I am and I’d rather not go out. (I like Mass, but not wet feet.) 😜

Tbe purpose of Mass is to celebrate the Eucharist.
If you are there for the entirety of the Eucharist you should be fine.

Priests make mistakes. Not something to worry about at all.
