Sounds more like they have simply flavoured a spirit base than distilled the spirits themselves? I would not touch home-made spirits, but home-made liqueurs are usually harmless.It’s safe. I guess it would be some kind of schnapps.
It’s not about money, our culture is traditionally very fond of such things. No one would notice if it disappeared, but if I told anyone I tossed it, there would be an uproar.
I just don’t see the point of keeping it around since we don’t use it, can’t pass it on as a gift since it’s not a label.
It’s cherry and very sweet, useless for cleaning.
But either way, there’s nothing wrong with throwing it out.
