WWJD: What Would Jesus Do?

One would often hear this phrase in the mainstream media, or from various Christian denominations.
Or in my case, a Catholic Youth Group.

I’ve been told by a fellow CAFer, however, that Catholics don’t use this line of thinking, and that leads to the question here: Is WWJD just an exclusively Protestant thing?

Personally, I think not necessarily, and think it would apply to all Christians, Catholic, Orthodox, or Protestant, but I think it would open up an interesting debate.

What are your thoughts on this?

P.S. I thought of putting this in #non-catholic-religions, but I don’t think this topic is significant enough for that. But if it is, I would be happy to move it.

Ephesians 4:32
[And] be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving one another as God has forgiven you in Christ

Carrying on to the next chapter:

So be imitators of God

Of course Christ Jesus is our model for everything!

No.
There have been MANY Catholic saints who were asking themselves WWJD? and trying to act accordingly, centuries before Protestants were even invented.

We’re supposed to be asking ourselves WWJD? daily and trying to act like him.

Interesting thing about WWJD is that a lot of the time the answer always seems to have Jesus conforming to the agenda of the one asking the question.
