I was confirmed and recieved my first holy communion at the Vigil this past Staurday at the age of 36!!! :D:D:D

It was sooo amazing…and I went back to the 7 am mass at our parish and received the Eucharist again. Twice within 24 hours!!!

I just wanted to thank you all for your support and wish all well in their RCIA process this upcoming year. IT WILL BE AMAZING!!!

Congrats! I was also confirmed on Easter Vigil but I’m not an oldy like you since I’m only going to be 34 in May. 😛

I wish I could have made it to Easter Mass but we were traveling to relatives that day.

I agree, the folks around here are awesome and have been a great resource on my journey. 👍

Congratulations and Welcome Home. And thank you. With your “yes” the whole Body of Christ benefits- that includes me!

Congratulations! I went through the same thing 16 years ago. I love being home! 👍

Congratulations!!! I was confirmed last year at age gulp 47 so I know how it feels to be a bit more mature and finally be Home!!

Amen!

Welcome Home from a fellow convert who was confirmed this Saturday. 🙂 It is pretty amazing isn’t it? I too went to Mass first thing the next morning!!

👍 Here’s to the first week of our new lives.

Welcome to “Home Sweet Rome”!! When I first attended a catholic Mass I took a friend with me in case we were thrown out for not being Catholics!! (That is what I was afraid of.) But as soon as I walked inside and started experiencing the Mass, I knew it was exactly where I belonged. I felt at home. I was received into the Church at the Vigil of Easter in 1988 at age 31. The whole RCIA experience was remarkable and a blessing that I still cherish today. Welcome to all of you!!! We’re very glad to have you as new Catholics. Congratualtions!👍

I’ve got you beat, I was confirmed in 2005 at the age of 49
I love it! I don’t know about you but I think with my life experience and maturity, I appreciate it a GREAT deal more than I would have in my ‘younger years’.

Janessa, your post made me smile. I made my sister (who is Catholic) go with me to my first Mass, mostly because I knew how important it would be to her and sure enough she cried through the whole thing. The poor thing! Anyway, at first I was nervous too but my sister called the parish ahead of time so everyone knew I was coming and I was welcomed with free food and lots of warmth. It was wonderful. 🙂

It sure is great to be Home! We had our celebration dinner Tuesday night for our class. I was so excited and surprised when they asked if I would come back next year to talk to the class. Our instructor said she had been doing the RCIA program for 13 years and she had never saw anyone like me in the class, I went in head first and totally submerged myself in Catholicism. It made me feel so good and grateful that she said that.

I will be back next year to help out in anyway they need me to be.

Again its great to be HOME!!!

Thanks
