Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Sorry I could not post yesterday on CAF, but here is what I did send to a friend who had begun the 33 Day Preparation for total Consecration and is not a member of CAF:
Title: Aug. 20 - Wk 1 - Day 2 on “seeking true knowledge of ourselves”

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Hopefully, you’re pondering St. Louis de Montfort’s description of Wk. 1 and were blessed especially by these words in paragraph # 228 in his little book on “True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin.” see: Treatise on True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin | EWTN

…Let them perform all their actions in a spirit of humility

ask our Lord and the Holy Spirit to enlighten them saying, “Lord, that I may see,” or “Lord, let me know myself,” or the “Come, Holy Spirit”…

Every day they should say the Litany of the Holy Spirit, with the prayer that follows, as indicated in the first part of this work. They will turn to our Blessed Lady and beg her to obtain for them that great grace which is the foundation of all others, the grace of self-knowledge. For this intention they will say each day the Ave Maris Stella and the Litany of the Blessed Virgin.

To pray these prayers, ciick on the following links:

Litany of the Holy Spirit -Litany of the Holy Ghost | EWTN

Ave Maris Stella -The Prayer, Ave Maris Stella

Litany of the Blessed Virgin - Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary - Litany of Loreto | EWTN

Today is also the Memorial of St. Bernard who is credited with saying : “Never enough of Mary!”

Come Holy Spirit, fill us with the Fire of Your Love! Mary Mother of the Church pray for us! Jesus we trust in You!
Since today is Aug 21 - I’ll post a new thread for Wk 1 Day 3. I really needed time to pray yesterday concerning the announcement about turning off the ad blocker! Thanks for your patience – anyone who looked for this thread.

Dear GioG12,

Thanks for your “heart” which testifies to your love for Jesus through Mary. I really prayed yesterday and into this morning concerning CAF’s announcement on turning off ad blocker. It still seems to me like a “compromise” with the world to have all these ads popping up in the midst of some serious concerns about the Church and the world at this time.

I’m not sure I’ll be able to stay on CAF but I do want to complete this journey of 33 Days, especially for anyone who is preparing to Consecrate themselves totally to Jesus through Mary for the first time, but also for those like myself who are re-consecrating themselves.

I know that this Wk 1 - which had always been the hardest week for me – has become now much more a time of gratitude! By God’s Grace, I begin to “see” by supernatural faith the truth of my own sins but also God’s Great Mercy enabling me to “SEE” in His Light all I truly need to repent of and thank Him for His grace to keep fighting against the snares of the devil!

God’s Word remains True,. as we listen to Jesus speak:
Come to Me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For My yoke is easy, and my burden light.

Dear Stephie,

So glad that you and GioG12 saw this thread. I was so surprised by the CAF announcement to turn off our ad blocker that I really needed time to pray about it. As I posted to Gio earlier today, I’m not sure I’ll be able to stay on CAF but I do want to complete the 33 Day preparation for Total Consecration.

I realize some persons on CAF think it is “nothing” to turn off an ad blocker and have advertisements popping up or simply making a donation but I have thoughts similar to another poster on CAF – “fide” – who began a thread on this topic. I know you are busy but his post is
HERE if you have time to look at what he wrote.
It’s a long thread and I didn’t read everyone’s thoughts, but I do not think many understood the deeper meaning “fide” conveyed. At any rate, I continue to pray.
