Recently I lost my job because people there told some nasty lies about me to management after I didn’t respond to their catty bullying and petty behaviour towards me.

Anyway, obviously management was goign to beleive their long term staff over me, and I had only been there a few months when the pudding started to hit the fan. Management got HR involved and in the end, I had to give up my job willingly or be fired.

The thing is, the lies were so obvious and I proved they were lies. Not to get into too much detail, but one example was they said I didn’t do something for a patient when they were having some symptoms for an illness that needed to be dealt with quickly, and then that I hadn’t written anything down in their notes. The thing is, I did. I actually conversed with the second highest ranked individual on the ward, she agreed my treatment of the patient was right and I wrote two pages in the notes. The people who said I didn’t treat the patient provided another patient’s notes as evidence, and not only were they another patient’s notes, they were from a different shift! I was able to prove these things and yet, management still beleived the lies.

Another example, was some of these people tried to say I had signed for a drug I was not allowed to give, but it wasn’t my signature, in fact, it was blatantly obvious it wasn’t mine, AND i actually wasn’t working that shift. Again, I can prove those facts, yet, managemnet beleived the lies.

There were lots of other examples of this sort of behaviour. Anyway, management in conjunction with HR reported me to my professional body and in a few months I have to go before the board and fight to keep my registration. Again, I"m fighting against lies!

The panel could decide that I am fine and brush aside the complaint or they could put restrictions on my practice or request I undertake further education.

Now, if the worst happens, and they restrict my practice or order further education and I take it, well, to me that’s like I’m acknowledging I’ve done something wrong and that the lies were truth, so if I’m thinking on this right, that’s the sin of scandal as other peopel will beleive the lie if I accept punishment for it!

So far people have said to me not to worry that the board won’t beleive it and will let me go. But the thing is, the board beleived enough of it to want to pull me before them!

If the above is the sin of scandal, then I’ve decided I will not commit it, which will mean, I have to give up my career in this field, which is something I don’t want to do. But I dont’ want to endanger my soul.

The sin of scandal is acting in a way that leads others (or has the high probability) into sin regardless of whether the action is sinful itself. I don’t see that in your example.
