If God is timeless, then from God’s perspective the entirety of human history has already taken place and has been wrapped up with a nice little ribbon for show.

It seems to me therefore from God’s frame of reference I am either in heaven or hell right now, despite the fact that from my frame of reference I have not yet reached judgement day…

All is a manifestation of God’s glory,
wonders all around and within us.
I am not worthy, but on the journey,
hoping to grow evermore in Christ
that I might commune in perfect loving relation with our Creator.

That’s nice. Do you have anything for the OP?

Sure.

Your use of the past tense is incorrect here:
". . . entirety of human history has already taken place. . . "
As best as we can get it, I would say:
". . . entirety of human history is taking place. . . "

He is with you in this moment where you choose to be loving or not.
He is with you in the same manner in every moment.
  • When you were conceived, He is there.
  • On your death bed, He is there listening to your last prayer for all eternity.
As to:
"has been wrapped up with a nice little ribbon for show. "
Your kidding me, right? Seriously? Ever look out at the stars, all the people around you?
I guess you were being facetious.

Whether or not it makes sense to say that God has a perspective, clearly as an eternal being in time, you will transform yourself into something good or evil, to be that way forever once you are dead. He knows that; you don’t because you haven’t made those important decisions yet. Free will allows us to participate in our own creation.

Not sure about heaven or hell, but you are in eternity. So often we think of eternity beginning at our death, but it really begins at our conception. Our kingdom journey could be said to begin at Baptism, I guess.

We are not yet in eternity, owing to the temporal binding of our natural bodies.

So to the extent that Heaven is an experience, we are not there yet.

I think of Heaven as having no illness, no hatred, no crime, etc. —not like this world–only love and peace…

Time is very interesting… I agree. I know that when I go to Mass it is as if it is the very first sacrifice of Christ. All angels, saints are present…I am with all the saints in Heaven but yet in a different “realm” not yet totally there and yet there “spiritually”🙂

what God knows outside the realm of our physical constraints is not your concern. live your life as Jesus taught in the here and now

don’t get overly hung-up on God’s perspective on space & time

that is WAY above all of our paygrade

Please don’t tell me what to do.

The you in the here and now is not in heaven. But God exists outside of time and thus it follows logically and necessarily that from his perspective you are either in heaven or hell. Earth’s History is already complete in God’s eyes.

That is correct. The question is who is taking care of changes/time.
