Apparently, a painting by Harlem artist "Tafa"depicts an upside down Christ-like figure with a face strongly resembling Osama Bin Laden.

Among the words written around the upside-down Osama-Christ are “Afghan Mujahedeen aka al-qaeda”, “Tuskegee Experiment”, “Dresden”, “Munich”, “Hiroshima”, “Mi Lai”, “Ring Leopold”, “Portugal”, “Night Riders”, “Trail of Tears”, “Belgium”, “Conquistadors”, “Crusaders”, “Christopher Columbus”, etc.
The artist says the resemblance to Osama was intentional, but he refused to be interviewed on camera. None of the four museum patrons they interviewed had any problems with it whatsoever. The painting sells for $12,800. (?!)
Ah, well.
Personally, I don’t see the resemblance quite as strongly as maybe some of you do. This strikes me as more of a political statement of a painting, where Christian history is lumped in with everything else. Personally, I found the crucifix in urine and the dung-covered Blessed Mother to be
much more offensive than this.
