The more I learn about JWs, the more I realize how strange some of their beliefs are…

And I’m sure some would say that about the Catholic Church, too.

In my experience, one usually starts, then as we converse that person backs off and the other (who seems more experienced) takes over. I think they’re both there to help each other. I also suspect the two at a time approach is primarily for their physical safety. Once, when two had been in my home for a very long time, even more came and rang the bell to make sure their friends were okay. They do take risks when evangelizing door-to-door.

I have had them come to my home for bible study and they come 2 at a time and they do gang up on you. One starts the conversation and the other chimes in and they don’t let you say a word. They are so busy spouting their unusual beliefs that they don’t want to hear what you have to say. One thing I will say for them thou that I didn’t believe a thing they said so I dug a little deeper into my own religion and learned a lot and accumulated a nice little reference library for myself.

I was lucky, because the lady that came to my house brought her nephew with her, and he was probably only about 12-13 yrs. old. He didn’t speak the whole time, but I saw his eyes get big a couple of times. Perhaps when she comes back she will bring an older witness with her, for backup!
