Oh I’m so happy to see a new thread on this! Here is St. Francis of Assisi in Orem, UT, the city next door to Provo. Sometimes you’ll hear the bells play hymns. There are few sounds more sublime than “Crown Him Lord of All” on church bells echoing through the valley!

The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles was mentioned in the previous thread, but since we’re nearing All Soul’s Day, I’d like to focus on the vast mausoleum that is underneath the cathedral. It is the final resting place for many parishioners and noteworthy citizens, including most of the bishops who served the archdiocese.

The numerous beautiful stained glass windows displayed in the mausoleum were saved from the former St. Vibiana’s Cathedral.

The relics of St. Vibiana are also enshrined in the mausoleum

Among those interred in the mausoleum is the late Bishop John Ward, who presided at my confirmation, long ago. Rest in Peace!
