Probably several threads on this topic, but I’m presently hungry, so which cuisine or dish do you prefer?

My two favorites are Italian (pasta, of course!) and Indian (vegetable biryani).

Indian food is my favourite. I love butter chicken, chicken tikka masala and biryani. Basically anything with chicken in it. 😎

My favorite pasta is spaghetti made with crushed plum tomatoes, olive oil, garlic, red pepper flakes, and basil. The sauce is a quick sauce, that cooks in the time it takes to cook the spaghetti.

That would be my last meal if I had to choose.

Sounds too good and too simple to be true! Love it. It would be not only my last meal but my first if I had a choice.

The aromatic herbs and spices are out of this world. And healthy too, I hear.

The best I had was an outdoor cafe many years ago (almost 30) on Ischia, an island off of Naples Italy.

If you saw that HBO series, “My Brilliant Friend” that’s the island Elena had her summer job.

I’m packing as I write. Sounds like a trip to remember.

It was very nice.

Have you seen the miniseries or read the book?

Actually I have not. But thanks to you, the book is now on my list. I have a month off from work and am always looking for something good to read.

Japanese and Greek, in that order. Far too many culinary jewels in each to choose a favorite.

If I were in a position to choose the last meal I’ll ever eat, however, it would be a good old-fashioned made-from-scratch baked macaroni and cheese. 😋

I also love Japanese, but am less familiar with Greek cuisine except for the staples such as Greek salad. However, it all sounds great including that “last meal.”

I like chicken quesadillas. I like meatballs. I like pizza. I like tacos.
Oh yeah I also like greek gyros with tzatziki sauce and rice pilaf with red sauce.

Well being from NYC there will never be anything to top a bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel with a large chocolate egg cream after a night out but…

When dining out it’s seafood or Mexican. Homemade dishes are my wife’s meatloaf with mashed potatoes, carrots, gravy and biscuits. My homemade marinara sauce with any type of pasta.

I am one of those people that can eat breakfast
any time of the day. I love waffles, french toast or pancakes - in moderation, of course. Corned beef hash, bacon or sausage
with 2 eggs and hash browns. Chicken fried
steak is also good for breakfast or a good
omelette.
I really like American cuisine - pot roast or
fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy
and I love soul food.

Mexican food is my next favorite and then
Chinese. I used to love Italian, but not as much anymore, but I still like Pizza.

Because I’ve worked in the food business my whole life, first as a cook and now as purchaser in a fancy-pants hotel, my friends are always surprised when they ask what my favorite food is. KFC, hands down.

When I’m cooking at home for us, my favorite things to make for us are either a slow oven-roasted beef pot roast, or a slow oven-roasted whole chicken.

I then like to serve either one with some type of potato, veggie, and a salad for sides.

When we go out to eat for a special occasion, I love a good steak like a Rib Eye, or a nice piece of Prime Rib served with a baked potato on the side.

I also love roast turkey and roast pork too, and will order that when we eat out.

I also like Mexican food, Italian food, Chinese food, and Greek food.

I’m with @UpUpAndAway regarding Macaroni and Cheese. I absolutely love it. It’s one of my favorite foods to eat. 😊 😋
