Typing error. Should read 'they planned to worship with Benny Hinn.

Wild story. Do you think so? One often finds one is taken for a fool. I am told by friends that I have a ‘heart of gold’. They do not know me. If I had, I would be a saint and that I certainly am not. If I was, I would also sell all I possess. I have not. I hang on to my humble home. But then again, even that is a gift from God.

Benny Hinn was the final thing that convinced me that God was leading me elsewhere than the evangelical Christianity I’d been brought up in. When everyone else was saying how good he was and I was really disturbed by him; I thought I was just being unspiritual or something, but finding out how strange his beliefs are ect it made me think hmm maybe I really am discerning God’s will with things.

I hear you there. I’ve been through some amazing encounters with God, but I ain’t NEVAH seen the likes of Adam flyin’ like a bird. Benny Hinn claims he could. I almost liked him one time. Now I can’t stand him. My mother and aunt love him. They are crazy. But God did not ask me my opinion. He just said, “Follow Me.”

My suggestion that they made a contribution towards the cost of their food was met with derision: in their church ‘it is the duty of the host to make provision’!

Nutz…I have only known a handful of people that stupid in my lifetime. Believe, me not all Evangelicals are like that.

Then I was given a list of places I was expected to take them. I told them I would be working.

Astounding. Sounds like a friend I had once. The cheek of people to presume on someone without inquiring first as to their circumstances!

I felt terribly guilty doing this.

They should have felt guilty. What’s wrong with people?

They informed that I ‘need not worry, they would happily sleep rough’. It was hardly surprising seeings I was a Roman Catholic, they would have expected nothing less than me to pull the plug at the last moment’!
