Hi, what was your opinion about her? Even though, I thought she supports abortion. But she has a role and contribution. Thank you and God bless!

Impressive person in terms of her achievements. Don’t really like her judicial philosophy or opinions though. So, I guess I dislike her as a judge, fine with her as a human being.

She’s an accomplished, admirable, smart and strong lady who worked hard and fought a lot of bias to get where she is today. She does her job very well though I don’t agree with every legal position she takes, obviously. I would add that her abortion positions are not the only legal positions of hers with which I disagree. She’s way more left-leaning than I am overall, and I also lean towards a more narrow reading of the Constitution.

Justice Scalia and her were good friends and always celebrated their respective holidays together even though the conservative Catholic Justice Scalia and the liberal Jewish Justice Ginsburg were worlds apart on many of their legal positions. That’s not unusual in the legal profession, and it’s refreshing in a world where everybody seems to want to vilify anyone who disagrees with them.

I find the public obsession with her health to be creepy.

She has worked hard for equality. This in itself is good, and she means well. The problem, in my opinion, since you asked, is that she regards equality as a higher good than the life of a baby.

I think she should retire. She has had many health issues. Why not retire and enjoy doing what you want to do the remaining years of your life?

I hope her health improves. I think she was in the hospital not long ago.

Because what she wants to do is to keep going to work and being a Supreme Court Justice. Appellate judges like their jobs. Some of them stay on to very advanced ages, and the work keeps their minds much sharper than the average person of the same age.

Having said that, I think it’s possible that if the Dems win the upcoming election, she will retire. She will not retire voluntarily under Trump unless she becomes too ill to continue.

She usually does. What? Work. It says that her works helps her from cope because the death of his beloved husband. And i think, she found her real happiness from that, even though she was ill.

Yes, when I asked the question why not retire and enjoy the final years remaining -
even though she enjoys her work, I think as long as Trump is president she
will not retire and be replaced by a conservative justice. She will stick it out and I am sure counting that the democrats win in November so she can retire.

I don’t agree with her on most issues, but she’s still quite an accomplished lady. Credit where due.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg is . . . a defender of the genocide of . . . unborn . . . children. . .

I wish her a long and happy retirement starting as soon as possible.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg is an embarrassment of the judicial system and the country as a whole. She is a political hack
With all due respect, this shows a very big lack of knowledge of both the US judicial system and Justice Ginsburg.

None of the justices are “political hacks”, whether you agree with them or not. A Justice does not somehow become a “political hack” if they opine in a way you disagree with as opposed to
a way you do agree with. Furthermore, the days when it might have been possible for a President to appoint a Justice who was a “political hack” are long gone, as the Senate would not confirm the appointment.
