Your prayers are needed for my little cousin who had brain cancer

His name is Charles and he had a malignant brain tumor removed. He is 4 years old and weighs only 22 pounds because he is missing a chromosome which makes him abnormally small. He also hasn’t begun to speak yet. When the tumor was removed, the doctors had to sever an optical nerve so now he’s blind in one eye. After the surgery, he got an infection in his head which made it swell to twice the normal size. After the swelling went down, they started to perform a battery of painful diagnostic tests to see if the cancer had metastisized to other parts of the body which left him both physically traumatized and emotionally terrified. When they performed a spinal tap on him, the staff didn’t elevate his head which caused the head swelling to reoccur. This delayed the chemotherapy treatment he needed to make sure any residual cancer cells were destroyed.
After the swelling subsided, the doctors administered 6 different powerful chemotherapy drugs into his system. Never before had they administered such strong chemotherapy treatments to someone that small and frail. One drug was administered through a cathader (wrong spelling I know) inserted into his penis. This caused a serious bladder infection. In addition to this, one of the nurses forgot to administer the anti-nausia medication which caused him to vomit out of control. The child is terrified out of his mind and is inconsolable. Please, for the love of God, PRAY for his healing and deliverance from this awful, cruel situation. If you all could pray a rosary for him, I and his family would be very grateful. Thanks.

This precious boy will be in my prayers, Mark. I will pray, too, that the medical staff will be more attentive to him!

I’ve offered the Lord my most painful experience with cancer to help relieve Charles suffering. I wish I could do more. Tim
 
Thank you all for your prayers of intercession.🙂 He needs all the prayer and consolation he can get right now. What a power we have in prayer. It means we’re all connected together. No matter how geographically distant we may be from one another, we can always pray to bring God’s power and blessing into one another’s lives.
 
Little Charles will be in my prayers tonight. Poor little guy…😦

My heart just breaks for this little boy. I hope (and will pray) that the peace of our Lord will sustain his/your family. May our mother Mary gently cradle him in her loving arms. May our Lord Jesus, who loved the little children so dearly, have mercy on his suffering. And may God our Father send the Holy Spirit down upon you all, to strengthen you, give you wisdom and patience, and to grant peace in all your hearts.

I will bring this child before Jesus during Adoration in the morning.

O holy Father, heavenly Physician of our souls and bodies, who hast sent thine Only-begotten Son our Lord Jesus Christ to heal all our ailments and deliver us from death: do thou visit and heal thy servant Charles, granting him release from pain and restoration to health and vigor, that he may give thanks unto thee and bless thy holy Name, of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit: now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
 
I will pray for Charles…He bears the name of my beloved late father, & I will ask Daddy for his prayers, too, before going to bed.
 
Dear Mark:

I have lurked here for a long time, and have now registered as a member specifically so that I could log in to let you know that I am also praying for little Charles - what a terrible thing for a child (or anyone, for that matter) to have to go through. Prayers also for his family, :hug1: and for his medical team that they may pay better attention and head off the additional problems that have caused little Charles so much additional pain and trauma.
