What is your favorite category on CAF?
Which aspect helps you on your journey of becoming or being a catholic?

The casual and lounge categories. I lurk in the other areas, and rarely reply especially in threads that are mud slinging contests.

I love being around my fellow Catholics. I am having writer’s block here, but you all are a great bunch of folks.

Casual, philosophy, and social justice.

I have been looking for the IWantGod category (you know, the section dedicated to my brilliance) but i can’t find it.

Apologetics, Liturgy/Sacraments, Traditional. I have used the search often to understand many of my questions while converting. The Catholic Living and News tend to rile me up with what I consider silly and possible trolling.

Various threads all over the place. I usually steer clear of the news threads. Life is too short and precious for that. Usually monitor but do not post in dumpster fire threads. If something goes over the line, I’ll alert the mods via flag, as we are asked to do.

I generally wander through the “All Categories” listings and pick what questions interest me, or where I can make some (at least what I consider) an intelligent contribution (or the occasional light hearted comment) I do enjoy some of the threads on the Casual Discussion thread too.

Eastern, Liturgy & Sacraments, and Spirituality

Just about all the forums, I think, except Family Life and Parenting (my children are all grown up now) and Eastern Catholic (which I know nothing about). Unlike some posters here, I enjoy my regular visits to the two News forums. The political debate on World News rarely rises above the kiddie level (“I love Trump, I hate Hillary” vs. “I love Hillary, I hate Trump”), but even so, it can be fun to watch. It’s a spectator sport, like boxing.

Casual Discussion, first and foremost 😄, and then Spirituality. If something catches my attention in the Latest section, I’ll post and then follow that thread in whichever category it resides. I almost never scan through all the categories, and many I rarely visit. I’m not as knowledgeable as many here seem to be for answering serious questions, and I usually don’t feel that most of my opinions are so superior that I want to defend or argue over them.

Casual, Spirituality, Eastern, Traditional, Non-Catholic – really just about all sub-forums except World News, Family Life and Parenting.

Spirituality and Casual.
Then I mosey on over to the other threads, depending on my mood.
I find the news threads to be a real hoot and holler.

Spirituality is where I usually find stuff most of interest to me, concerning prayer, Mary, saints, etc.
I occasionally find some useful stuff in Liturgy and Sacraments and Traditional Catholicism too, but I have to pick through all the complaining to find the gems.
