Youths reveal racy Bible calendar

The Nuremberg-based group said they wanted to represent the Bible in a way that would entice young people.

Nuremberg pastor Bernd Grasser said: “It’s just wonderful when teenagers commit themselves with their hair and their skin to the bible.”

“There’s a whole range of biblical scriptures simply bursting with eroticism,” said Stefan Wiest, 32, who took the racy photographs.

I find it disturbing that it is being sold at a church. I realize there are many passages in the Bible involving such things as nudity and sex, but to focus on them to attract teens? This worries me that they will focus reading on the parts involving sex and think that sexural sin is ok and encouraged by God or something.

They wanted to appeal to a younger generation by inciting lust within them with provocative pictures… good job… but maybe I’m being a bit premature… it is possible to have nudes with an artistic use. But what’s the point of focusing on the erotic areas of the Bible? Will the calendar at least address the situation?
