Youtube: Meet Juliana

So I was on youtube watching a segment about a child born with no face, which brought the viewer alongside the family through their experiences and surgeries of Juliana. She’s an extraordinary child, and, yes, “beautiful.”

I scrolled down to the combox just get a glimpse of the thoughts. It turned out to be somewhat of a car crash scene.

Several posters mentioned God and how he gives us hurdles to overcome. What followed was the usual banter. Here’ a taste.

This was between a handful of other posters responding to a “thank God!” It’s relatively high on the page, so a few scrolls down and you’ll get the whole exchange in its full glory.

If god existed, her face wouldn’t be like that in the first place.

wtf, god doesn’t exist, if he did, children wouldn’t be dying of hunger right now. if god is all powerful and stuff, why not kill them terrorists and rapers instead of innocent children that dont even have a “cross” to carry yet?

You beliefs are reflective of archaic societies who didn’t comprehend science. They are meaningless, wasteful, and antithetical to societal progress.
