There are many Marvel heroes to be portrayed as Christian in the comics, like Spider-Man, Captain America, Nightcrawler, and Daredevil, the last two of which are portrayed as Catholic.
 
When Nightcrawler gives better homilies than most modern priests.
 
I remember seeing this episode as a boy. I was surprised that a secular comic book cartoon would feature a Christian character like Nightcrawler. Sadly I doubt that a similar episode would be aired today if the X-Men cartoons were rebooted.
 
I cringe a little when the Daredevil show on Netflix tried to show him in the confessional. They tried to get it right but it seemed like whoever wrote the script had not been to confession in a while.
