I lived in ND for 6 years, met my husband at UND and I will admit that I never got used to the cold! I never warmed up in the winters except when I would take an extremely hot bath and then I would stay warm for a little bit after - I used to do my homework while sitting in the hot water! My parents are still in GF and my husband’s family are in or around Grafton.
My daughter went to UND! She had all sorts of car problems while she was there due to the cold…She graduated after the Fall semester, so we drove to GF to watch her walk and help her celebrate. The motel where we stayed, indeed, had the plug in’s outside the room and we did use it! ( it was December can you believe we would have to plug in the truck in GF ND???)

An extremely hot bath is my nightly ritual here so I can go to bed warm and drowsy and sleep the minute my head hits the pillow.

Now, I told you all about the wind yesterday and it hasn’t let up completely. We are DOWN to 27 MPH sustained with 40 MPH gusts with the added benefit of a drop in the air temp to -2F with a wind chill of -28F, and to make matters worse it’s snowing again! :crying:

I’m never going to get my Beetle out of the garage!!! :crying:

**We had a blizzard move in the morning and it is COLD! Normally we can have some pretty harsh weather here between November and April but we have been spoiled this winter so far. But I just took the dog out to the bathroom and it is frigid…I checked the temp and it is -22C which feels like -36 with the wind chill! For my southern friends that translates into -32.8F

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Yes, well… Canada…

OK, it was 38 below with the wind chill this morning. Boy did I wake up fast when I went out to my car!!! We have a wind chill advisory for today and tomorrow - it could get to 45 below w/the wind chill.

I need an emoticon that has chattering teeth…:coffee:

Well here in Indiana it is 52 out so I guess I can’t complain
I do wish the sun would come out. I miss my Colorado where the sun always shined!!
I don’t mind the cold as long as it stays cold. This up and down temps is what always makes me sick. I am sitting here today with a horrible head cold wondering how bad it would be to have my sinuses removed
