I have never had it, though I have heard of it. That recipe looks good! 🙂

I always though it was a hard recipe. But this looks pretty easy.

I thought the same thing! Maybe it is just time consuming, not difficult?

I remember asking my mother about it once, had she ever had it and she said her mother never made it.
Come to think of it, I don’t remember my grandmother making desserts.

Apparently she used to make Zeppoles. And pronounced them “eezep.”

Oooh. I zepp!

Lots of dialects cut the final syllables .

I = The

Zepp = Zeppole

Like ricotta sometimes is called “ricott”. Mozzarella is “muzzarell”

Did they make the kind you get at street fairs or the ones for St. Joseph’s day?

Adding, I think my mom never called it zabaglione. It was called uovo con Marsala. Egg and Marsala

We used to get zeppoles at a place on Long Island called the Farmers Market. Outside did have some produce, but inside had booths and was open year round. Also had kiddie rides for a while when I was very young. Sort of flea marketish, but had the little bakery booth with the Zeppoles, (with powdered sugar, in a small paper bag, probably 10/$1,) a fish market, Morris the sock man, a meat counter, clothing booths, and some place my dad bought Eagle motor oil in a gallon sized metal container. We also got a shampoo in a glass jar called Lustre Creme. There, I am showing my age. Funny, the things you remember from your childhood.
