what is the best thing to say to a protestant to defend our religion when they say we are wrong ?

That’s a very open-ended and vague question.

I suppose you could rely, “No, we’re not wrong; you are.”

But that wouldn’t go anywhere, now would it?

I tell them that God would never confuse his children with hundreds or thousands of different versions of one truth. Protestants, myself formerly included, seem to assume that as long as Jesus is at the heart of things that all of the other bits of off information are just fine.

They need to understand that confusion was never part of Gods plan and that the division created by protestantism is having a negative impact on the whole of Christianity in spite of good intentions.
