Arguings between faithful and atheist are established on and go on proofs of faithful. Atheists have no evidences to demonstrate their claims but they struggle to rebutt proofs of presence of God. Because “it is impossible to prove that God is absent”.

Forexample someone to adduce that there is no an object just like a coconut on the world than he must search and show all points and places on the earth than he can prove his claim that there is no coconut on the world. But this way is so difficult and espacially if claims involve vast time and places than it is impossible.

But to prove that there is coconut on the world is so easy that can be declared by showing a coconut.

Likewise if someone assert that there is no God than to prove this claim he must search all universe and times. But that would not be enough because God is not in matter. He must explore beyond of substance. Whether can an atheist pass over substance or see beyond matter while he does not accredit. İs it possible to see beyond the substance with only scientific information or way on which he bases all his claims? And in rejection of God every assertiveness stand alone and non of proof help other. Someone would say ı do not believe beyond substance, other would say ı can not prove this scientificially, another will say ı do not accredit that ı can not see with my sights and so …
But to assert and prove that God in existing is so easy. Every proof brace up each other. There have been thousans of prophets who declared that God revealed them and prophets demonstrated their claims with scriptures and miracles. And millions of psyhologically and mentally high peoples (they achieved these degrees with prophet’s disciplines) certify and see angels, heaven, hell and other prophet’s claims by mental discovering. And array and canons of universe show and declare a Creator(God). Life shows a genial God. And so all evidences assist each other in faith.

Don’t worry about what atheists think or don’t think. It is useless to debate them. Do as St Pau,l who said, “…as for me I will preach Christ and Him crucified…” But in your case you would have to present the truth of the Faith based on the Divine Revelation in the Old Testament. I don’t think you will have much success arguing from the Koran. Linus2nd
 
Some things can be proven to be absent. Like “Mr John was absent in class today” or “There are no people inside the building.”

But the main trouble with trying to prove that God does not exist is that he has a boundless existence beyond the reach of our finite senses. He is unlike a thing which your eyes can see whether it is present or not. This is like trying to prove that you don’t have cancer by just using a thermometer. You cannot disprove to be absent what is immeasurable.

To prove that something exists, however, you don’t need to be able to perceive all of its aspects. You only need to sense some of its effects. For example, a blind person may not be able to see the sun, but he could prove the existence of this powerful heat source by feeling its warmth.

In the same way, philosophers have proven God’s existence by looking at his perceivable effects (that is, his Creation). For example, the rationality and intelligence of man posits a rational and intelligent Creator. The beauty and order in nature tells something about the beauty of God and his orderly governance. Simply asking about the cause of all observable things leads us to knowing that God exists.
