September 18, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) — Catholic actor Jim Caviezel, best known for playing Jesus in the 2004 film The Passion of the Christ, blasted “lukewarm” Christians in a Fox News interview, saying it’s “a bloody shame” one can’t tell the difference “between a priest, a bishop, or a politician.”

“I got to play Jesus, some of us love Peter or Paul, but there are many of us right now, they are flat out Judases, okay? Or they’re Pontius Pilates or they’re the Pharisees, okay?” Caviezel told Shannon Bream on the Fox News show FOX@Night yesterday.

“It’s a bloody shame if you can’t tell the difference between a priest, a bishop, or a politician. It’s really sad, but this is called lukewarmness, and Christ has a very special place for them, and they know it.”

Cavaziel’s new movie which by the date in the poster, just opened up. He’s in a prison in Iran. So, sounds good.

I’m not positive if all of this is “okay”, apologies if not. I’m also not a fan of the headline but it gets the point across.

That movie looks good.

Is he a member of the same group that Mel Gibson’s father belonged to? Sounds pretty radical…

I cannot find any evidence that Mr. Caviezel is associated with any strange groups.

He is Catholic. @twf, if you have a source, link it. If not, it is all conjecture and not fair to put it out there.

I asked a question. I don’t think that equates conjecture. His comments about the bishops strike me as quite radical.

I think it’s fair to ask the question. Making assumptions after asking wouldn’t be but Mel Gibson is known to be associated with the group his father is a member of and they obviously worked closely with each other in the filming of Passion…? Jim might not have anything to do with that group but I think it’s a legitimate question to ask. It makes me curious…
