I was wondering if I could change the Guardian Angel prayer to pray for al our Guardian Angels to keep us safe. It goes like this: Angels of God, our Guardians dear, to whom God’s Love commits us here. Every this day, be at our sides, to light and guard, to rule and guide.
I do this when driving because I want to stay safe on the ride along with everyone else.

I absolutely modify prayers. If you’re not changing the overall, intention or perverting it in any way, slight modification should be fine. Or you can write your own prayer. By the way, another great Archangel is Raphael, who also kind of ties in with the whole traveling thing, as is mentioned in this prayer: (I pray it every day)

Saint Raphael the Archangel

Glorious Archangel St. Raphael, great prince of
the heavenly court, you are illustrious for your
gifts of wisdom and grace. You are a guide of
those who journey by land or sea or air, consoler
of the afflicted, and refuge of sinners. I beg you,
assist me in all my needs and in all the sufferings
of this life, as once you helped the young Tobias
on his travels. Because you are the “medicine of
God,” I humbly pray you to heal the many
infirmities of my soul and the ills that afflict my
body. By the great grace of purity prepare me to
be the temple of the Holy Ghost.
Amen.

To say that prayer to include others is fine.

I, too, modify the prayer before meals by including all the blessings of the day that the Lord gives us. It helps me to be aware of those blessings and to be thankful.

You can modify the prayer.
It makes sense to do so if you are praying for a group.
Just don’t forget your individual Guardian Angel. The prayer was written that way to emphasize that we each have our own.

All Angels are Guardian but your Guardian Angel is special, is from Christ received in Baptism. Only you and Christ can pray to him methinks. You can say any prayer you like but it may just not work.

We can modify private devotions and prayers, it is the liturgy that cannot be modified.
