“Eugenics would have been so much bizarre parlor talk had it not been for extensive financing by corporate philanthropies, specifically the Carnegie Institution, the Rockefeller Foundation and the Harriman railroad fortune. They were all in league with some of America’s most respected scientists from such prestigious universities as **Stanford, Yale, Harvard and Princeton. **These academicians espoused race theory and race science, and then faked and twisted data to serve eugenics’ racist aims.” waragainsttheweak.com/offSiteArchive/www.sfgate.com/index.html
“Moreover, Wall Street-backed genetic-research corporations must be stripped of their ability to engineer human life in commercial secrecy. It’s human life. Why secret? Why proprietary?”

During the years 1910 to 1940, the laboratory was also the home of the Eugenics Record Office of biologist Charles B. Davenport and his assistant Harry H. Laughlin, two prominent American eugenicists of the period. In 1935 the Carnegie Institution sent a team to review their work, and as a result the ERO was ordered to stop all efforts.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cold_Spring_Harbor_Laboratory
