Pray for them to adhere to fullfill ALL of God’s precepts He set forth in His Church. You can’t just pick and choose what you like in the Church. Mrs Schwarzenegger is in the wrong big time.

Homosexuals are accepted in the Church, their homosexual actions are not. homosexuals are called to celebate and abstain from these sinful acts.

No woman has the right to play God concerning to abort or let a baby live in their womb. Period.

The Church doesn’t believe in divorce and your marriage must be annulled because in God’s eyes you are still married and must adhere to the covenant regardless if secular courts say you are divorced. God’s court is higher than any Earthly court.

I just wanted to mention that divorced Catholics CAN receive communion. Divorce in itself is not a mortal sin, though there may be mortal sin involved for some. It’s allowed for civil reasons. Remarriage without annullment is the mortal sin.

If one professes to be Catholic, that person should believe ALL that the Catholic Church believes and teaches. To willfully reject any of the Church’s teachings makes you what we call a cafeteria Catholic, meaning you are not Catholic no matter what you call yourself. Stated another way, you accept it all, or not at all.

Since she is a Kennedy, I think this falls into the Dog bites Man category.

I saw the same story on Life News which included
The office of Cardinal Mahoney, Shriver’s bishop, did not respond to repeated calls from LifeSiteNews.com yestereday and today up to press time.
Also in the Dog Bites Man category.

It’s no wonder, really, that Arnie and Maria are this way. St. Monica’s used to be my parish growing up (22 years!..yikes) and my folks and several of my siblings still go there. In spite of everything that is right about that place (hey, at least they’ve never ‘wreckovated’ the gorgeous church) and many of the people, especially my mom and the daily Mass/rosary crowd, there is also still a lot that is wrong with the place, not a little of which comes directly from Msgr. Torgerson. My mom has on numerous occasions had to talk to him or another priest there about different heresies that they had just preached during the sermon, or about other things happening that aren’t supposed to happen. For instance one of the priests used to (might still) refer to the Holy Ghost as a ‘her’ and ‘she’. Wow. Anyway, that’s not to say I don’t admire the Msgr. in a lot of ways, even now as a ‘traditional’ Catholic

Anyway, we saw the Schwarzeneggers there one Christmas. Ya know, Arnie’s not as tall as I thought he’d be.

Amen, Deacon!

Isn’t it astounding that this most basic and fundamental Church teaching has to be justified and defended on an almost constant basis these days?

Completely leave that person alone. Religious thought-control is* immoral* and dangerous. It’s called theo-fascism. Anyone who stands before me screaming that I must prove my beliefs are worthy, **is someone who will see me walk away, **forever.

Well – I guess if a time comes where we are called to die for the Faith — the last we will see of you— is your backside.

Leave him alone as it says in Matthew 18:17
and if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.

Actually we should call it like it really is. Cafeteria Catholic is simply a polite expression for heretic. Any Catholic who rejects one or more of the Church teachings is committing heresy.

Well, that is pretty much true by the Church’s definition.

Heresy: (Repeatedly, obstinately) denying any doctrine or dogma of the faith.

Heretic: A Church member (thus NOT an apostate) who holds heretical views. (Some might say publicly expressed; I can’t see how that’s a hard requirement.)

I think this certainly cuts to the chase. It definitely gives us all something to think about.

Haven’t learned you lesson yet, huh Paul??? Come on, calling people [gasp] heretics! How dare you!

I don’t understand your comment. To me Paul is simply defining a heresy/heretic.

In simple terms a heretic is a Catholic who rejects one or more of the Church teachings. What is the problem with saying that?

You’re on dangerous ground too! (pm me for details).
