Tonight we had a guest priest saying Mass. During his homily he said something about Jesus and the Eucharist, saying something along the lines of Jesus appeared ordinary to others, but “maybe” He was God. And “maybe” the Eucharist is Jesus.
I assume his was a figure of speech, but, does the Catholic Church allow for the an ambiguous belief that Jesus is God and the Eucharist is Jesus?
Like I said, I think his was just a figure of speech. Father appeared very pious, otherwise.
